FAQ
How much will my visit cost?
Your copay or co-insurance amount will be due at your first visit. Depending on plan benefits, patient responsibility for the first appointment will not exceed $150 for chiropractic care, and $150 for functional medicine visits.
Do I need to have x-rays?
Not all individuals will need x-rays or imaging. We will perform a thorough physical exam and determine if any imaging is necessary at the time of your appointment. Imaging may be necessary if you've been in a motor vehicle collision, have had any spinal surgery or implants, have any congenital abnormalities such as a scoliosis, seeking a second opinion, or not responding to care. We work with local imaging centers for x-rays, MRI, CT, and diagnostic ultrasound.
How much time will my first appointment take?
Depending on what's going on, your health history, and number of complaints, your first appointment may take 1 hour.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
You should have your intake questionaire completed online, any medications, supplements, or supportive nutrition you take regularly, and labs or testing reports, and any imaging studies like x-rays, MRI's, CT's scans, etc. Please wear comfortable loose clothing and if able please refrain from wearing make up or perfumes. You will be asked to remove jewelry, belts, and shoes.
What should I wear to my first appointment?
We do ask that individuals wear loose comefortable clothing that can adequately cover their body while laying on their stomach or on their back. We do ask that individuals remove all jewelry (earrings, necklaces, watches/bracelets), belts, shoes, and potentially body peircsings depending on location to as to protect them and our equipment. Hair can be left down or up in a hair tie. Hoodies and thick sweaters may need to be removed to examination and treatment. We do offer blankets and gowns for those who require additional coverage or for comfort during examination.
Why is a deposit/credit card required when scheduling an appointment?
A credit card on file is required to reserve your appointment time. Your card will only be charged in the event you cancel your appointment without 24 hour notice, or you fail to appear at your appointment without any communication. Unfortunately some will schedule an appointment and either cancel without 24 hours notice, or not show up at all. We do not double book any appointments and devote the time to you and/or your family. We trust that you will honor your commitment to your health, as we honor our commitment to serving you.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for canceling appointments. We understand that some things happen that are out of your control and are happy to work with individuals to find a solution that works for everyone, however repeat occurrences will incur a $50 cancellation fee that must be paid before booking another appointment. Since we devote much more time to those new to our office, we do require payment in full for rescheduled appointments for new patient appointments. For individuals who do not appear to their first visit with us, the first office fee will be billed/charged. We reserve the right to refuse future services to those who do not appear to their first appointment or habitually violate our cancellation policy. We do allow certain excuses for missed appointments such a going into labor.
How many visits will I need?

Care always depends on each individuals health history, current state of health, diagnosis, nutritional factors, etc. We work with our patients to establish a plan of care that addresses these factors for the best outcome, reassess at each visit, and recommend co-management with other providers as necessary.
Can you bill my insurance for my physical?
Physicals for employment or sports participation are not billable to insurance at any time. Insurance companies do not provide benefits for pre-employment physicals or school physicals.
Do you accept my insurance?
We are contracted with many insurance providers, but may not be in-network with all plans. You can contact your insurance provider to find out if we are in your plan network or you may e-mail a copy of the front and back of your insurance card and driver's license to [email protected].
What if my insurance changes during care?
If you insurance coverage changes during care, we can explore solutions to make sure you can still get the care you need. We can monthly and annual care plans available as well as sliding scale services though Heartful Wellness, our 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Please let us know if this is a concern.
